Bobovišća na Moru - the name alone testifies to the quality of the soil, the good weather and the locals' enthusiasm for agriculture. For the word "bob" means "broad beans" in Croatian, and the Bobovišćas are always regions where these and other crops simply shoot up. That is why the wine store for the rest of the island was set up here as well, and despite field and arable farming there were still enough green spaces left to graze livestock. To this day the ringing of the goat and sheep herds' bells carries through the village every morning and interrupts the silence for a few minutes. Anyone who wants to be woken that way and otherwise disturbed as little as possible all day is in the right place here: a few bathing spots promise seclusion, and since there is not much more to see here than the columns donated by the politician Nazor, who grew up here, larger streams of tourists have so far stayed away.
