The eastern tip of the island is dominated by the small village of Okrug Donji, which rises amid a typical macchia landscape. This spit of land is surrounded by beaches and bays that are partly rocky, partly "pebbly". In the village itself, in the north of the spit, there is a boat cove alongside the usual holiday houses and holiday flats. So anyone with an aversion to practically and quickly erected lodgings can be rocked to sleep aboard a small sailing boat. And the next morning exploratory trips to the nearby islets of Veli Drevnik and Mali Drevnik suggest themselves. If you would rather see more of the island you are already on, you should take a walk up to the rise between Donji Okrug and Gornji Okrug: from here you can see all the way to
Brač.
