Okrug Gornji

At the Saldun bay, whose new housing developments join Čiovo almost seamlessly to the neighbouring village, Gornji Okrug begins. It nestles as closely as it can against the two bays, so that residents living "in the second row" can only rarely enjoy the beautiful sea view, while visitors staying in an apartment on the beach can indeed step almost from their front door into the sea. The usual conveniences such as post office, supermarket and restaurants are there - only solitude is sought here in vain, since the lively atmosphere of Saldun can spread as far as the centre of Gornji Okrug on public holidays and in the holiday season.
