Just 100 people live permanently in Milna, a friendly bathing resort in the south of the island of
Hvar, and even that is too many for some. After all, the first settlers came here in the 1960s in order to gain a little distance from their former home village of Malo Grablje. The sheltered bays and the green slopes, reaching down to the coast in places, made their choice fall on this very spot of the island. During the season far more people throng the lanes and the beach, yet the family charm of the place is present at all times even then - the guesthouses and private homes are, after all, grouped around the former family seat of the Ivanić family from the 17th century.
