The well-known and colourful Medena stretch of beach lies about 3 kilometres north-west of Trogir and offers a good deal in the way of attractions!

This lively and colourful stretch of beach lies about 3 kilometres north-west of Trogir, on the grounds of the Medena hotel complex. This stretch of beach is recommended above all for active holidaymakers and families with children. Here you will find both a shallow entry into the sea with a fine pebble beach and concreted lying surfaces with easy entry into deep water via steps and ladders. The singular atmosphere makes this stretch of beach a special experience for young and old. Besides numerous cafés and crêpe stands, one finds water slides, pedalo and jet-ski hire, as well as playgrounds, fitness trails and small play facilities for children. At the northern end of the stretch the naturist area adjoins. There, ringed by dense pine woods, one can tan and swim without tan lines. The site is well tended and, besides shady and sunny lying areas, also has sanitary facilities. The site is most easily entered via the car park of the Medena hotel, from where one comes comfortably on foot to the beach.
At the foot of the mountain Sveti Ilija lies Seget Donji, which two and a half thousand people call home. The townscape is shaped by the marble blocks quarried there, with which squares and town houses, sacred buildings, monuments and the Renaissance tower of 1516 were embellished. So in sunshine the town gleams a brilliant white, vying with the sailing boats passing by. Anyone who looked forward to the family holiday but would quite like the children out of earshot after a few days can have them looked after and entertained at the Medena hotel complex — or simply dive into the Adriatic on a taster course.
